Dr. Deepak Sekar is one of the world’s most prolific inventors, with 254 issued patents to his name so far. The last startup he founded and led, Chowbotics, was named by Fast Company as one of the world’s most innovative companies, and was acquired by Doordash in 2020. His present company, Prof Jim, received the BIG Innovation Award and was named by HolonIQ as one of North America’s most promising edtech startups in 2023 and 2024. He received his B. Tech from IIT Madras in 2003 and his MS and PhD degrees from Georgia Tech in 2005 and 2007 respectively.
