Michael Sims

Michael Sims Founder/CEO of Empirium: Mike is a former U.S. Marine with experience as an Arabic cryptologic linguist and Marine Raider under US Special Operations Command, completing deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Southeast Asia. Post-military, Mike transitioned into finance and technology, first interning at Goldman Sachs and Lux Capital before assuming leadership positions at Privateer Space and Fenix Space. Mike co-founded Empirium, an early-stage B2B marketplace for allied defense companies. He holds an Associate of Arts in Arabic from the Defense Language Institute, a B.A. in Economics from Penn State, and an MBA from UCLA.
